Is This A Kissing Book? Romancing The Blog Hop


One of my favorite scenes from Princess Bride was when Fred Savage asked his grandpa (Peter Faulk) "Is this a kissing book?" And he was really, really hoping the answer was no. 


And yet what was missing for little Fred when the book ended? Yep. That kiss. And according the S. Morgenstern, “Since the invention of the kiss, there have only been five kisses that were rated the most passionate, the most pure. This one left them all behind.”

For me, this is why I read romance novels. I probably wouldn't read it if it wasn't a kissing book. Heck, if my High School text books had some kissing in 'em, I would've gotten better grades! 

My favorite screen kiss is from the film Never Been Kissed. They had to get it right, and oh, baby, did they. I still get chills when I watch it. Mmmm mmmm.

Kissing is so meaningful because it's the moment when guards are lowered and a tentative test is made--a test with sensitive body parts--the lips. 

Yep, that's my favorite part of a book. So every book I write has kissing. Otherwise, what's the point??

    I think it definitely depends on what movie you're watching, or what book you're reading.

    favourite ever? When Antonio Banderas (mask of zorro I think) grabs Catherine Zeta Jones and hurries her into a small room.. she protests - he takes her in his arms - bends her over in a huge kiss - and kicks the door closed.

    I totally agree about kissing. The Princess Bride and Never Been Kissed are both great. I also love Bridget Jones' Diary when Bridget kisses Mark out in the snow in her undies. Makes me smile every time :)

    I think the kissing scene from Angel's Blood, at the end, it was so heartbreaking and romantic and I don't know how else to describe it, but it was AMAZING!

    Oh how I love a good kiss too. Slow and sweet or hard and rough. It doesn't matter because a kiss says it all. I think my favorite kiss was from While You Were Sleeping when Bill Paxton kissed Sandra Bullock in the toll both where she worked. The look on his face after he kissed her just melted me.     I can't think of a favorite movie kiss but a memorable one is when Jacob kissed Bella and then she punched him and broke her hand. Yes, I'm a Twilight fan LOL!

    Thanks for participating! Really like the hop so far!! I love reading, especially romance. I love reading contemporary, historical and erotic romance. I love the happy ending that is garenteed at the end. My favorite book is Lover Mine by JR Ward! I love John Matthew and Xhex. My favorite romantic moment was when my fiancé asked me to marry him! We meant two years ago right around when summer was ending when my friend and I went out for our last big night out before classes started again. I think it is romantic when he brings me flowers because no one else has ever done it! Thanks so much! Hope everyone else is having a great long weekend!!

    Favorite kiss, ok so I know it's a Disney movie but the Princess Diaries. She dreams that when she has that amazing kiss her foot will come off the ground. At the end of the movie she finally gets the kiss the pops her foot. It was just sweet.

    I don't actually watch "kissing" movies, I only read them! I read romance yet watch horror and I am sorry to say, there are usually not a lot of kissing in them.

    Favorite kiss that is tough one.. I like in historicals right after the hero rescues the damsel in distress that sweep you off your feet type of kiss that is soul searing deep kiss...
