The X Factor--Frugal Find of the Day

Image
My second book in the Apocalypse Babes series is featured today at the awesome site The Frugal eReader , which features ereads under $9. The X Factor finds the Apocalypse Babes friends, along with a few other lost L.A. stragglers, ensconced in a compound that may or may not be run by evil Soviet scientists. Whether it's due to Bolshevik beliefs or a manipulating girlfriend, nightmares are on the loose and they want what's left of Seffy after the zombie attack. To make matters worse, one of the stragglers develops an unwanted attraction for Sef, and insists it's more than just UST à la Mulder and Scully .  The X Factor is 99 cents, so even better. So grab the cheapo copy and while you're at Amazon, pick up the first book in the series, The Z Word , which is FREE. Win win!

Dimensions...A Line, A Loop, A Tangle of Threads

Omigosh I am SALIVATING over this film, described as a 'vintage sci-fi' period piece. The premise is amazing ( If you could revisit one moment in your childhood, what would it be? ) and the circumstances of the filming also terribly intriguing. It looks lush and beautifully filmed with a great cast. As an indie author, I'm also interested in indie films.  Below the director talks a bit about production. The film is completed and looking for distribution. I'm hoping for a wide-enough release that I'll get to see it on the big screen. Can't wait! For more info, visit their website .

Book #4 of my series Apocalypse Babes is now available for Kindle (other vendors coming shortly). When a mysterious faction at the Fugere compound resorts to extreme measures for crowd control, problems intensify, threatening not only life and limb, but the already fragile estate between the Apocalypse Babes and the Others--especially as things heat up between Seffy and Trent . So yeah, things are still wonky in Montana. But that's part of the fun, right? And don't forget to enter my contest . It ends October 6th and you know you want that Juicy Couture tracksuit!

If you're a fan of paranormal romance (and let's face it, everyone and their three-headed uncle are), AND you love a little violence with your reading, check out the Supernatural Smackdown hosted by Parajunkee and Dark Faerie Tale s, book blogger extraordinaires. Supernatural Smackdown is a mash-up of characters showcasing their skills and wits.  Think supernatural gladiators fighting to the death (we promise not to kill any characters off). Readers will have the opportunity to vote on characters so that they can move onto the next round (Example: Vampire vs. Fallen Angel)." So come by and see your favorite characters from your favorite authors, and meet new characters from yet-to-be released books

Meet Erin, a lovely young British woman with a video book blog. And no, I don't just love her because she's said kind things about my book, but because she reminds me of myself at that age...loving nothing more than coming home from the bookstore with a pile of books, wondering what worlds awaited within the pages. Remember that feeling? That smell? On a side note, I think Kindle needs to come up with some kind of scent emitter that smells like the pages of a book (sans the mustiness). I so wish this kind of technology was available when I was that age (yes, I'm quite ancient). Part of the angst of being an avid reader was not always having someone to share my enthusiasm with. I remember sitting stunned after reading Wuthering Heights or (to my shame) Flowers In The Attic , wishing I could gush to someone who understood. It's so fun now to connect with fellow enthusiasts around the world and dish on favorite novels. It brings me back to the good old days...but
