Apocalypse! An eight day blog hop hosted by Heidi@Rainy Day Ramblings, Maja@ The Nocturnal Library and Christy@ Love of Books

Apocalypse fiction is so much fun to read and my latest favorite is the Wool Omnibus (Silo Saga) by Hugh Howey.

In a ruined and toxic landscape, a community exists in a giant silo underground, hundreds of stories deep. There, men and women live in a society full of regulations they believe are meant to protect them. Sheriff Holston, who has unwaveringly upheld the silo’s rules for years, unexpectedly breaks the greatest taboo of all: He asks to go outside.

His fateful decision unleashes a drastic series of events. An unlikely candidate is appointed to replace him: Juliette, a mechanic with no training in law, whose special knack is fixing machines. Now Juliette is about to be entrusted with fixing her silo, and she will soon learn just how badly her world is broken. The silo is about to confront what its history has only hinted about and its inhabitants have never dared to whisper. Uprising.

The book just about overheated my Kindle as I could not put it down. Imaginative, stressful, compelling--everything an awesome apocalypse read should be.

I also write apocalypse fiction--with a little more humor and a lot more romance:

Apocalypse Babes: The Complete Series is a six book Gothic Sci-Fi Romance.

No mad skillz, no sacred destiny, just a pink tracksuit that will take her places she never wanted to go...

It's been said that a sure sign of the coming apocalypse is an 80s roller skate disco movie coming to DVD (with special features). In the science-fiction novel series Apocalypse Babes, a stylish group of twenty-something friends are torn from the Babylonian arms of 2006 West Hollywood and flung nearly thirty years into the past. It might be because one of them purchased the taboo film in a nostalgic moment, setting off a chain of events more disturbing than a roller skating conga line. They wake up in an apocalyptic but strangely familiar landscape, complete with a hidden mountain compound and retro survivalists, hinting at hidden and retro secrets they must face if they want to survive.

Apocalypse Babes (The Complete Series). All six full length novels in a set for one low price. Includes The Z Word, The X Factor, iRobotronic, Kumbaya Much, Bite Me, and Apocalypse For Realz. Unabridged and complete.

Enter the hop by leaving a comment with your email and four entrants will be randomly chosen to win one Kindle copy of the Wool Omnibus and three Kindle copies of Apocalypse Babes. Then hop to the next blog for more chances to win!
