Who else is humming that Pat Benatar song?? But I digress (the 80s always make me digress). Today's hop celebrates those heartbreaking cuties who populate our romance novels and imaginations (and who apparently do lots and lots of tummy crunches).

How's this one for an example? 

Yes, I know Gabriel has a checkered past, but let's keep this on the surface, shall we? After all, he's pretty.

And he's the physical inspiration for my current work in progress, Kiss Me, I'm Yours--the follow up book to Kiss Me, I'm Irish. 

My inspiration for Kiss Me, I'm Irish main character Liam Jackson.

Since Kiss Me, I'm Yours is not yet completed, I'm offering up its predecessor for the hop's prize to three random commenters.

    For me the heartbreaker is a bad boy who goes kicking and screaming into love! When he falls he falls hard!

    The only heartbreakers I have encountered are literary! And my all time fav is Mr Darcy!

    Gabriel does have a pretty "checkered" past to put it mildly. I think he must be a big hot head with all the crap he's pulled. I do have to tell you though.. I read this book entitled "Crushed Seraphim" by Debra Anastasia and in it, there is a Satan character. He's supposed to exude sex. I imagined Gabriel Aubry when I was reading the book. Perfect casting, right?

    My favorite heartbreaker is the one that your heart can’t live without. One of my best is Lucas from D B Reynolds book “Lucas” (Vampire in America series). Strong mind, well put together and tender when he needs to be.
