The Rider Series By Shawn Maravel Makes Another Stop

July 1st is release day for Shawn Maravel's second book in the Rider Series, Shifting Gears

Shawn was born in a small New Jersey town located between somewhere and nowhere. She fled the country looking for adventure while following her heart and the love of a soldier. Shawn began writing when her husband joined the Army in 2008. It started out as a way for her to cope with the long periods of time that they spent apart but slowly took on a life of its own, becoming something she did for herself. Having always enjoyed writing and dabbled in it from time to time in previous years, the military lifestyle provided her with the opportunity and an outlet to explore the passion further.

Shifting Gears follows The Wanderer and continues the Harley and sexy men in uniform theme (thank goodness!).

Wesley Pierce, a Virginia State Trooper, is in search of the perfect log cabin to settle down in. After losing his brother and doing his best to care for the family he left behind he decides, a year after Nathan’s death, that he’s finally ready to move forward.
Olivia Michaels, a realtor in search of her own dream home and a way out of her parents’ attic, takes on a client who can help get her that much closer to affording her freedom. Little does she know that it isn’t the perfect home that she finds but through Wesley Pierce she manages to find herself. And maybe, if she’s capable of taking the leap, she might even manage to find love.

Shawn is so good at creating real-world love stories with characters who become personal to the reader, taking her through all the twists and turns of romance where two people struggle to take that final step in love. Shawn says: "...this story is of love in its purest form. In life it isn’t mystery and excitement that drive our hearts but trepidation and the moment in which we all decide to jump unguarded into the arms of another."

Plus, what's better than a man teaching a woman to shoot? Now that's true love :)

On July 1st treat yourself to a heart-wearming, yummy romance. Until then, pick up Shawn's other titles: The Wanderer, Volition, and Severance.
