A New AbFab SFR Publication!

Image
I want to spread the word about an awesome new publication for that special niche of reader who loves Science Fiction Romance. You know who you are! The Sci-Fi Romance Quarterly will feature SFR books reviews and author interviews, and cool covers, and all the delish-ous-ness that is SFR. An excerpt from Smart Girls Love Sci-fi : " RK: WHAT ARE THE ORIGINS OF THE SFR QUARTERLY IDEA?   HEATHER: KS Augustin approached Paula and me about offering SFR news and entertainment via a digital magazine. She has the mad skillz to execute the Sci-Fi Romance Quarterly so I was all like, “Where do I sign?!” It was one of those zeitgeist moments, too, because her proposal emerged at a time when all three of us had already been involved in SFR in various ways (as bloggers, authors, advocates, etc.). Kaz saw an opportunity to expand SFR’s reach and seized the day. It’s important to acknowledge that years before, authors Jennifer Dunne, Jody Wallace, and Joyce Ellen Armond ran ...

Grab The Apocalypse While It Lasts!

Image
It's been said that the apocalypse is the end of the world as we know it--and for Seffy, it sure seems that way... A stylish group of twenty-something friends are torn from the Babylonian arms of 2006 West Hollywood and flung nearly thirty years into the past. They wake up in an apocalyptic but strangely familiar landscape, complete with a hidden mountain compound and retro survivalists, hinting at hidden and retro secrets they must face if they want to survive.   #1 Amazon Bestseller in Time Travel Romance, Apocalypse Babes--The Complete Series is my Gothic sci-fi series, and for just a few hours today only , this six book set--usually $8.99--is now just 99 cents. The apocalypse has never been so cheap! Sale ends at 8 PM PST. Grab it quick!

Apocalypse Babes: Number One And Less Than A Buck!

Image
Just wanted to say thank you to all who've purchased my 6 book Gothic Sci-Fi Romance series Apocalypse Babes. At the time of this posting, the series is #1 in Time Travel Romance and Gothic Romance. Woot! #1 in  Books > Romance > Gothic #1 in  Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Literature & Fiction > Genre Fiction > Romance > Gothic #1 in  Books > Romance > Time Travel Much of this can be attributed to the fact that it's six full-length novels for 99 cents , instead of the usual $4.99, which won't last much longer.  So if you've been curious, now's your chance to get a sweet dealio. And maybe even a good read :)

Science-Fiction Romance Brigade Presents Novel Snippet Time

Image
Science Fiction Romance Brigade is hosting novel snippets from members books, new releases, or works in progress. What a fun way to peek at SFR possibilities! My offering is a few paragraphs from my Gothic Science-Fiction Romance The Z Word , book one of the Apocalypse Babes series. The Z Word, follows Seffy Carter and her longtime friends Gareth, Addison and Lani. The four besties share a past dysfunctional and dark enough to keep them bound together under do-over identities. But like off-brand velour, rends develop in their relationships from the flesh-eating pressures of ending up in 1980, in a Montana desert, surrounded by zombies wearing dated disco duds .   Gareth looked down the hill, then ran his hands through his hair. “We've got to find some shelter.” “Except shelter seems to be where they like to hide,” Lani pointed out, her pretty face pale with fear. Seffy noticed the man stumbling as he attempted to climb the hill. “Can't we outrun him? ...

The four besties share a past dysfunctional and dark enough to keep them bound together under do-over identities. Blog Guest Cynthia Woolf!

Image
Please welcome author Cynthia Woolf as she swings by for a visit where random writerly questions and novel sci-fi talk abound! Cynthia was born in Denver, Colorado and raised in the mountains west of Golden.  She spent her early years running wild around the mountain side with her friends. Their closest neighbor was one quarter of a mile away, so her little brother was her playmate and her best friend.  That fierce friendship lasted until his death in 2006. Cynthia was and is an avid reader.  Her mother was a librarian and brought new books home each week.  This is where young Cynthia first got the storytelling bug.  She wrote her first story at the age of ten.  A romance about a little boy she liked at the time. She worked her way through college and went to work full time straight after graduation and there was little time to write.  Then in 1990 she and two friends started a round robin writing a story about pirates.  She found that she ...

Sci-Fi/Fantasy Author Linda Andrews' New Manuever

Image
I'm thrilled to welcome Linda Andrews to my blog on her tour. She's a prolific sci-fi/fantasy author with yet another new release,   Blue Manuever: Book One of Extraterrestrial Security Program . Looks like she might have company: Linda Andrews: Hello everyone! Thank you for joining me on Bella's fabulous blog. Today, I'm interviewing Mary-- Rae: Hold it right there! (she bounces out of her chair) You will not tell anyone my ridiculous name. I'm Rae, not MaryJane, and definitely not Radiance. I'm Rae Hemplewhite. LA: Okay, Rae. Let's talk about your latest adventure. Rae (slowly sinking into her chair): Adventure? I don't call being infected with alien bugs, kidnapped and killed an adventure. I call it torture. In fact... Wait a minute. You're the author you did this to me. LA: Um, I actually think I just transcribed what you told me happened. Rae: No. No way! (Jumping from her seat, she plucks at her microphone...
