The Hazards Of Writing Are A Pain In The Butt

The Dirty Truth: A Meme for Authors It's not all sparkles, chocolate, and rainbows, people! It can be downright dangerous! A few hazards I can think of (I may or may not have experienced these things) are: Short attention spans with loved-ones Long attention spans with characters Sciatica from keeping the butt in the chair Carpel tunnel syndrome from typing at the desk Fast food when you'd rather write than cook A messy house when you'd rather write than clean Characters who won't behave Middles that sag (in the book!) Middles that sag (not in the book!) Plot holes Editing that never ends Reflexively checking email/Twitter/Facebook/Triberr/blogs/book rankings/book sales/sales at Pottery Barn... You get the idea.
